Sustainability
There are approximately 80,000 toxic chemicals in common use in everyday household and commercial office cleaning products.
At PBM, we believe you should be as safe at work as you chose to be at home. We take pride in our commitment to environmentally responsible cleaning practices and have initiated a comprehensive, high-performance Green Cleaning Program in all of our client buildings.
Working with our building-management partners, we’ve selected products and implemented cleaning procedures designed to reduce negative impacts on your health and the environment. We are continually investigating and implementing new and innovative cleaning strategies, backed with up-to-date training. Our janitorial operations are structured to meet the requirements of the USGBC’s LEED certifications, specifically designed around LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance.
Green Cleaning Certified
PBM’s Green Cleaning Policy–a portfolio-wide commitment to clean in an environmentally friendly manner, both indoor and outdoor–provides specifics on our Standard Operating Procedures and our Sustainable Procurement Program.
Working with our partners, PBM has a well-established line of cleaning chemicals with Multi-Clean–all with “Green” certifications from Green Seal® or “Safer Choice” designations from the EPA. Setting us apart in building maintenance, we also use the Multi-Task Dilution System to eliminate the costly and counter-sustainability practice of relying on ready-to-use (RTU) dispensed cleaning products.
We invest in equipment certified by The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) as Green Cleaning. We make sure all associates are trained on the correct use of equipment, chemicals and microfiber cloths, and proper recycling methods. All consumables, such as paper products, also are sourced for their adherence to sound sustainable practices.
Our cleaning products and practices ensure a healthy and clean working environment for all–and help protect the environment for generations to come.
